Casey Anthony says she ‘feels her biological clock ticking’ and is considering having another child

Casey Anthony has said she is contemplating having another child as she ‘feels her biological clock ticking’ and would like another baby before time runs out.

Anthony, 33, was branded the most-hated mother in America from the time of her arrest for the murder of her two-year-old daughter Caylee through the six-week trial in 2011 in Orlando, Florida.

Caylee’s skeletal remains were found in a trash bag in December 2008, in woodlands close to the family home.

Anthony was accused of neglecting her daughter and killing her to get out of her parental responsibilities.

She changed her story throughout the police investigation, with her defense team claiming her father George had been responsible for Caylee’s death, arguing that he hid the body after she drowned in his pool.

Since Anthony’s acquittal, nobody has been charged with Caylee’s killing.

Despite being acquitted in the toddler’s murder many people still believe she killed her own child.

In recent months, Anthony has been spotted out and about far more frequently in an attempt to put her past behind her.

It’s a change from the low-key life she has led in the eight years since the trial ended.

In 2017 she said that it was ‘unlikely’ she would be ‘dumb enough to bring another kid into the world’, but it appears her stance has softened.

‘She feels like her biological clock is ticking,’ said a source to People. ‘She knows she’s getting older. She’s not the young girl who everyone saw on trial. She’s in her 30s, wondering what to do next, and hoping that she can find some meaning in her life.’

Although she was dating last year, the relationship appears to have ended after Anthony ‘wasn’t ready to settle down.’

But now it appears she reassessing her goals for the future.

‘Marriage, family, the white picket fence,’ an unnamed source told People. ‘In some ways, that’s very appealing to Casey. She’d want things to be less dysfunctional than the family she had growing up, but she likes the idea of stability.’

As she looks towards the future, it will be a sure sign that Anthony has overcome her tragic past.

‘It’s ancient history, as far as she is concerned,’ said a source to People. ‘It was a very dark period in her life, and she is a different person. So she’s ready for something new. If that includes children, she’s ready for that.’

She believes her daughter may have drowned by accident but maintains she had no part in her death and does not know for certain who hid Caylee’s body in the woodland where she was found.

‘Regardless of what the media has depicted of me, I am not a monster. I just don’t show my sadness. A thing that was taught to me as a young girl,’ Anthony said to DailyMail.com earlier this year.

‘I suffer on the inside. I learn to make peace and put on a smile to cover the sadness.

‘Through it all, I never once thought of suicide. I am stronger than that..that is a coward’s way out, and it is a sign of guilt to me.’

She was acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges on July 5, 2011 and convicted of four counts of lying to police.

After her acquittal, she was described by a Florida Department of Corrections spokeswoman as ‘one of the most hated women in America’.

In 2018, Casey’s father, George Anthony, commented about how he would feel if his daughter had another child.

‘Knowing now that she could potentially be a mom again, I hope she does better this time around than what she did last time,’ George said.

‘I hope that child is strong, grows up to be a worthwhile part of society and, the person that she has the child with, I hope they are going to love her and that child immensely. I hope whatever life she has left, that she makes something positive happen in her life.’

The parents do not currently speak to their daughter.
