Cate Blanchett exudes elegance in black and red top as she joins stylish Elle Fanning at Alexandra McQueen show during Paris Fashion Week

Cate Blanchett and Elle Fanning both looked effortlessly stylish at the Alexander McQueen show during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday.

Actress Cate, 54, dazzled in a pair of black cigarette trousers and a statement top as she attended the SS24 show.

The star looked gorgeous as she wore a unique black shirt that featured fire red detailing and billowed out behind her into a stunning train.

The square shoulder pads and tailored collar added a touch of class to the bold look whilst the ruffled detailing on the torso showed off her phenomenal figure.

Cate added inches to her statuesque frame with a pair of black stilettos that had red heels as she posed for pictures at the star-studded event.

Chic: She was joined by Elle Fanning, 25, who also attended the star studded event and stunned in a standout dress and fishnet tights 

Flashing a huge smile, the Ocean’s 8 star showed off a radiant palette of makeup and styled her blonde tresses with a slight wave at the ends.

She opted for chunky rings and a singular ear cuff for accessories.

Meanwhile American actress Elle, 25 showed off her sense of fashion in a daring black dress that featured a leopard print, cut out corset at the top.

The look featured ruffles, rouching and gold detailing around the bottom half of the skirt.

Elle finished off the look with some fishnet tights and black open toe wedges.

The sister of Dakota Fanning sported a colourful palette of make-up with smokey eyes, rosy cheeks and dark matte lips.

She opted for a standout accessory – a chunky metallic choker necklace that took up the entire length of her neck.

Her blonde tresses were left natural and she wore it down so it cascaded behind her shoulders.

Cate has been making the most of the prestigious fashion weeks and was spotted in Milan earlier this month attending the Giorgio Armani show with Lily Allen as well as showcasing her chic sense of style whilst out and about.

The Australian actress shares sons Dashiell, 21, Roman, 19, and Ignatius, 15, as well as adopted daughter Edith, eight, with her husband Andrew Upton, 57 – who she married in 1997.

The award-winning actress made her film debut in 1997 in the project titled Paradise Road but rose to prominence after being cast with the leading role in the historical drama, Elizabeth in 1998.

Throughout the course of her successful career, Cate has been nominated for a total of eight Oscars, winning two – Best Supporting Actress for The Aviator and Best Actress for Blue Jasmine.
