Prince’s dancer Catherine Vernice ‘Cat’ Glover has died at the age of 60.
‘It’s with great sadness that we formally announce the passing of Catherine Vernice Glover – AKA “Cat.” Please allow her children, family and friends privacy at this difficult time. A further statement will be released in due course,’ the announcement said, which was shared on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, per TMZ.
The note ended with: ‘”Dance with the Angels, we love you,” with three hearts.
Cat collaborated with Prince as a choregrapher, backing vocalist, dancer and even rapped on his albums.
Her death comes eight years after Prince died at age 57 from an accidental fentanyl overdose.
