Catherine Zeta-Jones gets ‘blessed by an elephant’ for Boxing Day as she enjoys Christmas holiday in India

Catherine Zeta-Jones received a dollop of seasonal cheer from an unlikely source on Boxing Day, she revealed on Instagram.

The Oscar-winning actress uploaded a video of herself getting ‘Blessed by an elephant’ during her Christmas holiday in India.

In the charming clip, Catherine could be seen standing on one side of a small fence while the elephant, surrounded by old pillars, was safely on the other.

She bowed her head in front of the majestic creature as it stretched its trunk out over the fence and gently caressed her on the crown.

Adding an extra air of glamour to the proceedings, Catherine set the video to a recording of Swiss musician Heinz Holliger playing one of Vivaldi’s oboe concertos.

As the day went on, she also posted a picture of herself standing in front of a dazzling sunset and taking a snapshot.

In a look that evoked memories of Kipling, she was decked out in white trousers, a flowy khaki blouse and a matching straw hat.

‘Auditioning for the next Indiana Jones movie. Cuz, I am related you know,’ Catherine joked in the caption for her more than five and a half million followers.

Catherine, 54, has been traveling around India with her husband Michael Douglas, 79, and their children Dylan, 23, and Carys, 20.

Michael and Catherine welcomed Dylan in August 2000 and married at the iconic Plaza Hotel on 5th Avenue that November.

Carys, whom Catherine was heavily pregnant with when she danced at the Oscars and accepted her trophy for Chicago, arrived in April 2003.

Ever since they became a couple in 1998, Catherine and Michael have attracted attention for their yawning quarter-century age gap.

In 2018, Carys told Town And Country that when her father would do the school run ‘People would be like: “Your grandpa’s here to pick you up.”‘

The following year, Michael revealed in an interview with Closer Weekly that his daughter had decided to start attending boarding school.

On the Today show a couple of years ago, Catherine spilled that her ‘extremely bright’ children both want to follow their parents into the acting business.

‘Michael and I would be the first parents to say: “You know, maybe you should think of another career,” but we’ve seen how passionate they are about the craft,’ she said.

Meanwhile Catherine’s recent credits include playing Morticia Addams on the Netflix hit Wednesday and a lead character on the National Treasure television show.
