The stars were out in force for the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania premiere held at the BFI IMAX Waterloo on Thursday night.

Catherine Zeta Jones – whose husband Michael Douglas stars in the film – looked gorgeous in a pale blue busty gown while Evangeline Lilly looked very glamorous.

The actress, 53, was the epitome of chic in the one-shoulder design which cinched her in at the waist and had a flattering floor length design.

Catherine accessorised with simple silver bracelets and wore her brunette hair in loose waves while opting for bronzed makeup.

Elsewhere Evangeline, 43, – who plays Hope van Dyne/Wasp – dazzled in a dramatic silver sequin dress which had glittery tassels all over it.

She boosted her height with silver heels and wore her blonde tresses in her short style while completing the look with matching dangly earrings.

Also at the premiere was Kathryn Newton – who plays Cassie Lang – who made sure all eyes were on her in a silk purple dress that had a corset-style neckline and thin straps.

Her slim figure was on display in the figure hugging dress and she wore her red tresses in a chic top knot.

Also at the star-studded premiere was Paul Rudd who wore a light grey suit, white shirt and black tie as he posed with Jonathan Majors.

The third movie in the Ant-Man franchise is eyeing the biggest debut in franchise history with $280 million worldwide.

Box office analysts are predicting a $120 million domestic tally over the four-day President’s Day holiday weekend, according to Deadline.

The blockbuster is also projected to take in an additional $160 million in foreign markets over the opening weekend for $280 million worldwide.

Disney’s own projections, as per usual, are a bit softer than other analysts, with the studio hoping for $95 million over the three-day weekend and between $105 million and $110 million over the four-day holiday frame.

The superhero sequel starring Paul Rudd – who revealed he got down to 7% body fat for the first Ant-Man but the scene showing off his shredded physique was cut for time –  is expected to open in roughly 4,300 theaters, and even if it meets Disney’s more modest projections, it will still surpass both the previous Ant-Man movies.

The original Ant-Man debuted in August 2015 to a modest $57.2 million opening, which is the second-lowest in MCU history, behind only 2008’s The Incredible Hulk ($55.4 million).

It went on to earn a decent $180.2 million domestic and $519.3 million worldwide from a $130 million budget.

The 2018 sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly returning as the title characters, opened to $75.8 million and improved to $216.6 million domestic and $622.6 million worldwide, from a budget estimated between $130 million and $195 million.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – which boasts an estimated $200 million budget – will kick off its run in many foreign markets on Wednesday, including China.

While China had shut out many American movies for several years, it welcomed back Avatar: The Way of Water and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever recently, before Ant-Man and the Wasp debuts in the Middle Kingdom.

It will be the first Marvel movie to debut in Chinese theaters in nearly four years, since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and the Sony/Marvel co-production Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The $280 million international debut is expected to include roughly $35 million to $55 million from Chinese theaters.

The sequel will also open in international markets such as France, Korea, Germany and Italy on Wednesday before the domestic debut on Friday.

While the box office forecast is looking to be a franchise best for Ant-Man, unfortunately the reviews are coming in at a franchise low.

The first wave of reviews were posted on Tuesday afternoon, with the sequel garnering a middling 55% on Rotten Tomatoes, out of the first 115 reviews.

If the percentage stays below 60% as more reviews come in, it will be just the second ‘Rotten’ movie in MCU history, behind 2021’s Eternals (47% on RT).

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania finds Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), his daughter Cassie (Kathryn), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) all getting sucked back into the mysterious Quantum Realm.

They find themselves interacting with the mysterious Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), who will certainly be a force to be reckoned with in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
