An adorable pair of twin kittens in Tokyo have the cutest sleeping habit of staring into each other’s eyes and holding one another before being able to nod off to sleep every night.
Amelie and Canele were both born earlier this year in February and have been inseparable ever since.
According to their owner Rie Tamura, they struggle to sleep unless they’re entwined together in bed.
Video shot by Rie captured one particularly adorable moment where the felines are sprawled out on the floor, perfectly positioned with their mouths inches apart.

They’re also filmed basking in front of heater and sleeping in their miniature bed.
Rie said: ‘Amelie and Canele love to be together. They seemed so happy to be wrapped together on the ground in the warm light from the heater.
‘They have a new bed which they love. They are so content sleeping together in there. Sometimes Amelie will want to play and Canele will want to sleep.’
The cats, who were both adopted after their original owner abandoned them, have their own small wooden bed that they sleep together in every night.
