Shortly after the heated showdown on Sunday, Shane – also known as Courtney Act – is seen approaching Amanda to clear the air.
Describing his sleep as ‘dreadful’, the fierce entertainer tells Amanda: ‘I was thinking about how I upset you’.
While applying her makeup, the Carry On star calmly responds: ‘I wasn’t upset, just a bit angry’.
She continues: ‘I have nothing against you, your opinions, or anything else… It’s just best to face a person and say it, otherwise if you go around and talk to other people it makes it seem like you are trying to turn people against others…’
Amanda was referring to Ann Widdecombe, who was in the centre of Sunday’s argument.
He replied: ‘I think I do talk to Ann about things… At the end of the day, I don’t really want everybody in the world to agree with my opinions… It has gotten to that point where I’m sick of my own voice’.
Embracing each other with a warm hug, Shane apologetically said: ‘I just wanted to come to you and have a chat.’

During their intense discussion on Sunday’s episode, Amanda confronted Shane over his dislike for the politician, telling him: ‘I get along with her and I’m in a civil partnership. You think you’re a platform for LGBT rights!’
The actress continued: ‘This is all mirror talk. You have your opinions and when you meet other people with strong opinions, you have a mirror reaction.’
Shane then informed her: ‘The difference is I’m not dictating’ causing Amanda to quip back: ‘She’s not dictating!’

The Australian star then offered an example: ‘In 23 years she has voted against every pro LGBT piece of legislation!’
Amanda, who is in a civil partnership with Hilary Bonner, confidently responded: ‘It doesn’t affect me at all. I’m married!’
Shane continued: ‘I’ve been like this since i was born and I didn’t expect every single person to understand who we are. It’s not all about gay rights. Ann doesn’t even agree with abortion.’
Clearly enraged, Amanda stated: ‘I’m going to bed now. I can’t take too much bull****.’

Shane responded: ‘Well don’t have a conversation you started and can’t end.’
Amanda then headed into the bedroom where she told Ann: ‘I just had a blow up with Shane. I don’t like people talking behind the backs of others.
‘I said it face to face. I called him out, I’m afraid. But it’s not my business to do so and influence others. You can’t use gay rights as an excuse dear!’
The fiery war of words began when Shane confided in Malika over Ann’s anti LGBT stance.
‘We’re in a position of privilege and we’re celebrated in the public eye. But there are kids at home and she’s sending out the wrong message.’

Wayne also joined the conversation and proved to be a little uncomfortable as he revealed: ‘We’re all in a little show which I adore being in and we can’t pick up on her past misdemeanours. She actually makes me laugh.’
‘But I didn’t know she was opposed to gay weddings,’ he tried to see the argument from both sides.
The conversation prompted Wayne to confide in Amanda about Shane’s stance: ‘I said to him this isn’t a soap box for politics.

‘I cant have it out with her and I don’t know enough about it. Shane’s insinuating I haven’t done my job. Ann never diverts from what she thinks. I’m not here to go for a cause of some kind. Leave her alone!’
Amanda then revealed: ‘Just take people as they are!’
Wayne replied: ‘Shane reads into things too much but I do adore him. He has big ambitions and I think he wants to be a representative for the gay world. I don’t want to discuss her opinions she’s had for 50 years. I don’t care what she thinks!’
Amanda quipped back: ‘Shes friendly with me and that speaks volumes!’
At the beginning of the episode, Shane took to the diary room, revealing: ‘She refuses to call me Courtney. It’s kind of disrespectful and doesn’t know how much it offends people in my community. Her judgement doesn’t affect me, I care what it says to young people.
