And Ann Widdecombe graciously accepted her runner-up position as she gave the drag queen a congratulatory hug before exiting the mansion to talk to host Emma Willis about her experience.
The presenter, 41, asked the politician – who has voted against every pro-LGBT legislation while an elected MP in the past – if she had changed her views while in the house and interacting with Courtney aka Shane Jenek.

Ann was asked by Emma whether she had any food for thought after living with Courtney/Shane and listening to her views.
‘No!’ she immediately quipped, before detailing her stance: ‘You don’t reason yourself to a position over a number of years and then suddenly over the course of a couple of conversations, think “oh dear, I got it wrong!”‘

Ann was adamant in her views as she continued: ‘What I’m pleased about is that people agreed with my freedom of free speech.
‘I exercised my freedom to say what is unfashionable,’ she told Emma, who nodded along in agreement.
Meanwhile, Ann seemed rather stunned at her runner-up placement, telling the brunette: ‘Second place, that’s okay, isn’t it?’

‘The chanting tonight, I knew Courtney had a huge amount of support. I am thoroughly bemused. Apparently I’m the runner up in Celebrity Big Brother! You know how many times I’ve turned this programme down?
‘I definitely enjoyed it more than I thought,’ she revealed before admitting that living with 15 other people was ‘terrible.’
Looking her best during the night, Ann opted for a bright green midi-length dress with a subtle semi-sheer front.

She teamed it with a matching lightweight coat , which sported a heavily patterned collar and lining.
Ann teamed the look with a pair of open-toe black shoes, which boasted a slight wedge to give her height a boost.
Shunning glamour inside the house, Ann opted for a simple slick of make-up to bring out her features and complement her short do.
