Courtney then broke down crying in the Diary Room, as she revealed he made her feel ‘special’ and gushed over their ‘magical friendship’.
She said: ‘I don’t think you ever think you’re going to make a strong connection with someone, it just comes along and smacks you in the face. It’s like the most magical thing – it feels so warm and lovely and I really think that’s the sort of thing that life is made for.
‘Its made for connecting with people and having those friendships. It’s not something that I get to do a lot, and straight boys, lads, alpha males still aren’t allowed to have friendships with drag queens or gay boys in the way that Andrew and I did.’

Praising Wayne, Courtney had said: ‘We have proclivities towards gentleman’s company. The minute he walked down the stairs there was the tip of the wig.’
As Ann expressed her disapproval, she said pointedly: ‘Ann’s rolling her eyes again.’
She continued: ‘I’m sorry that were having emotion. I don’t mean this to be patronising at all, Ann, I do feel sorry because I know how wonderful it is to have human connections with people – to have love or affection – as often any time we try to have those emotional moments, you react in such a confronting way.’
As Ann tried to protest that she wasn’t being ‘confronting’, Courtney insisted: ‘Ann’s the one rolling her eyes like a slot machine.’
Discussing Ann’s reaction to her, Courtney later likened the former MP to the ‘disapproving mother of a gay child’.
‘She’s rolling her eyes at much more than the immediate conversation,’ she said. ‘That’s someone’s grandmother or someone’s parent disapproving of their gay child.’
