Celebrities respond to Ryan Adams’ allegations and support Mandy Moore

Celebrities are rallying behind Mandy Moore and the other victims who came forward to accuse Ryan Adams of emotional abuse and sexual misconduct.

On Wednesday seven women including singers Phoebe Bridgers and Courtney Jaye accused Adams of offering them career opportunities while seeking to have sex with them, then retaliating when they didn’t want to pursue the relationship.

Moore also opened up on her marriage with him and revealed he was ‘psychologically abusive’ and prevented her from making connections in the music industry in the bombshell New York Times report.

Now the support for the actress, who was married to Adams for seven years, is pouring in.

Adams responded to the allegations on Wednesday evening on Twitter writing: ‘To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly’

The report said that Adams allegedly sexted a 14-year-old fan and once texted her saying people would compare him to R. Kelly if they knew he was having a relationship with a minor.

According to the report, Adams was manipulative and ‘dangled career opportunities while simultaneously pursuing female artists for sex’. When they didn’t give into his sexual demands he took away his offers and became emotionally and verbally abusive.

He’d allegedly bombard the phones of his alleged victims with text messages and threaten suicide if they didn’t reply.

However, Adams has denied the allegations and took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to share his remorse.

‘I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes. To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly.

‘But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate. Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false. I would never have inappropriate interactions with someone I thought was underage. Period.

‘As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly. I am resolved to work to be the best man I can be. And I wish everyone compassion, understanding and healing,’ he tweeted.
