Celebrity Big Brother presenter Will Best donated money to a trans charity which states ‘f*** the terfs’ and ‘f*** the Supreme Court.’

Best’s monetary gift to support the It’s Not A Phase charity which is being headed up by Bridgerton actress Nicola Coughlan was spotted by fans on social media on Friday as the donations reached over £100,000.

The 38-year-old posted a video to Instagram on Friday in which she condemned the Supreme Court ruling and vowed to match anyone’s donations to her charity, with a caption which read: ‘Allies of the Trans and Non Binary Community time to come together. F*** the Supreme Court, f*** the TERFs let’s raise some money’.

The fundraiser, has prompted much anger, including from comic Graham Linehan which posted on X: ‘Boy. Betraying women sure is lucrative.’

Meanwhile, a Big Brother source pointed out that the programme, currently airing on ITV1 at 9pm, has an audience substantially made up of women and that Best, 39, risks alienating some of them.

The insider told The Mail on Sunday: ‘It seems like a brave thing for Will to do, Celeb Big Brother’s viewers are predominantly women, you would have thought he would want to stay away from anything that is controversial.’

He has presented various shows for Channel 4, ITV and the BBC and he also appeared on Celebrity Coach Trip.

Ms Coughlan launched the fundraiser after the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that per the 2010 Equality Act, the legal definition of woman is based on biological sex, which will have varying effects on transgender people.

Speaking in an Instagram video, she actor said: ‘To see an already marginalised community being further attacked and attacked in law is really stomach-churning and disgusting and to see people celebrate it is more stomach-churning and disgusting.’

She urged cisgender people to ‘speak up’ and ‘make their voice heard’ as allies to the trans community.

Best has been approached for comment.
