Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver teams up with MasterChef judge Melissa Leong to host food event in Sydney
Jamie Oliver has announced he will be coming to Australia to co-host a speaking engagement at the Sydney Opera House.
The British restaurateur, 48, revealed he will be talking all things food and health alongside MasterChef judge Melissa Leong on Saturday, November 11.
Sharing a lengthy post to Instagram on Thursday, he also revealed he would ‘tell his story’ about the very first BBC television series he took part in.
‘Australia, I’m coming for you! Join me at the Sydney Opera House in conversation with the amazing Melissa Leong on Saturday 11th November!’ he wrote.
‘I’ll be telling my story from the early Naked Chef days to how I continue to help all of you cook fresh and delicious food from scratch!’

He continued: ‘And I’ll obviously be talking about why I will always fight to keep kids’ health at the top of the agenda.’
Ticket prices for the speaking event start at $49 with ‘premium’ seats selling for $89.
It comes after Jamie starred alongside Melissa, 41, as a guest judge during this year’s season of MasterChef.

The TV star also joined judges Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo for the new season called MasterChef: Secrets and Surprises.
The news was revealed on MasterChef Australia’s official page in April ahead of the show’s premiere on May 1.
‘I’m very, very excited to be back in the MasterChef Australia kitchen, and honoured to be kicking off the new season of Secrets & Surprises alongside Jock, Andy and Mel,’ Jamie said in a statement at the time.

He added: ‘I want to give the contestants some little nuggets of advice, some techniques and some thoughts most importantly, that might help them to navigate some of the big moments ahead.’
Jamie previously appeared on the show back in 2012.
He is known for his love of British and Italian cuisine, his cooking show and cook books.
The chef, who hails from Essex, reportedly has a net worth of over £240million.
It comes after Jamie starred alongside Melissa, Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo as a guest judge during this year’s season of MasterChef
