One of the most successful plastic surgeons in Hollywood has revealed the shocking secret behind some major celebrity makeovers.
Dr. David Matlock, whose clientele includes Oscar and Grammy winners, claims that some personal trainers to the stars have been secretly sending their clients to him and other surgeons for subtle nips and tucks.
Speaking to cosmetic injector Alex Pike on her podcast The Face, Dr. Matlock claimed that some celebrities – who he was not able to name – are now looking at more ‘non-invasive procedures’ like micro-needling and radio frequency treatments to keep their enhancements a secret.
‘Some of them were coming in for a new role or whatever, they’ve got to get in shape,’ he said.
‘We had a phase here that we went through where we didn’t understand why the trainer was sending that celebrity in,’ he continued.

‘Well the trainer wanted that huge jump start and then he’ll finish up!’
Alex responded, ‘They’re only going to credit the trainer though… [but] there’s a lot more going on behind-the-scenes.’
While Dr. Matlock didn’t name any of the celebrities who have done this, he has a reputation for working with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
According to his website, the celebrity surgeon has worked with ‘a roster of A-list clients that have won Oscars, Grammys, Emmys, Tonys, and more’.
He also went viral in 2013 after performing procedures on his then-fiancée Veronica Matlock to create the ‘perfect wife’.
The nurse underwent a ‘Wonder Woman’ makeover, involving liposuction of the chin, arms, and legs, and a Brazilian butt lift.
‘She opted for everything I suggested. Even marriage,’ he told Truly at the time.
