As the man behind Matty J’s ripped abs, Jono encourages scheduling training sessions and sticking to them – even during a holiday period like Easter.
‘Treat scheduled training times like they are your most important meetings this month,’ he says.
‘Want to kick the accountability up a notch? Make a deal with yourself that each time you miss a scheduled training time you’ll donate money to a cause you can’t stand.’

Jono, who has been previously spotted training The Bachelor winner Laura Byrne and Samantha X (real name Amanda Goff), also explained one of other ways celebrities will be maintaining their figures is by watching their alcohol intake.
‘Skipping alcohol would do wonders for most of us,’ Jono explains but says he understands how tricky it can be to give up completely.
He recommends setting a weekly limit on alcohol and then spreading out the quota of drinks as needed – for example keeping the drinking just for the weekend or while on holidays.

The Sydney-based trainer also said he tells the stars to consume meals based around wholefoods and include extra low-level activities whenever possible.
‘For a fit body to thrive you need to feed it with the best possible diet,’ he explained.
‘Favouring mostly wholefoods such as lean proteins, vegetables, healthy fats and whole grains provides you with the most nutrients dense diet to support your goals.’
Jono added that when it comes to exercise, ‘Fifteen minutes of extra walking a day might not seem much, but it adds up.’

The fitness blogger also endorses getting strategic when it comes to gym time.
‘Time is money and no one has hours to spend at a gym each day,’ Jono offered.
‘To be more efficient with your time, choose exercises that stimulate multiple muscle groups at once. This means doing squats instead of sitting on a leg extension machine. Choosing chin ups over bicep curls. And focusing on overhead presses and not tricep extensions, just to name few.’
