Comedian Celia Pacquola announces she’s expecting her first child with partner Dara Munnis: ‘I’m very happy and I miss wine’

Comedian Celia Pacquola has announced she’s expecting her first child with her partner Dara Munnis.

The Have You Been Paying Attention? star, 39, revealed the news in an Instagram post on Monday, sharing a photo holding a baby outfit and a second of a sonogram.

‘Whoever had “Celia gets pregnant” on their Unprecedented Events bingo card, you can cross it off now. Wild. I’m very happy and yes I miss wine,’ she candidly wrote.

‘Also please consider this my official audition to be the next Doctor Who as I currently have two hearts.’

Celia also shared a camera and a baby emoji and tagged Dara, confirming the Irish photographer as the father.

He posted the same image on his own feed, captioned: ‘2022 is going to be all sorts of amazing.’ 

Celia has rarely mentioned or posted about her partner on social media, but Dara did share an image of the pair enjoying a day out in Melbourne in November 2021.

‘Two weeks of Melbourne adventures incoming!’ the Dublin-born hunk captioned a photo of the duo cuddling outside of Luna Park.

Dara, who moved to Sydney in 2016, is a full-time photographer of musicians and bands and has worked with acts such as Ed Sheeran, U2, Hozier and Kodaline.

Celia has been working her wit on the Australian stand up comedy scene for years, and was a principal writer on satirical panel program Good News Week.

She also co-wrote and starred in ABC comedy Rosehaven, which featured fellow Australian comedian Luke McGregor.

In 2020, she was crowned the winner of the seventeenth season of Dancing with the Stars Australia.
