Chace has lately been starring on the Amazon series The Boys about a group of vigilantes on a mission to assassinate a cabal of sinister superheroes.
He features as the sleazy aquatic superhero The Deep on the show which is based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
The second season bowed on Amazon Prime last month and released its finale on the streaming service on October 9.

Season two was such a success that Amazon is fast-tracking a spin-off about a superhero college, according to Deadline.
He recently spoke to Esquire about playing The Deep saying: ‘I was really wanting to work on something different. Something to sort of stretch what I can do and show.’
Chace rose to fame on the original run of Gossip Girl which aired for six seasons on The CW beginning in 2007 and ending in 2012.

A sequel series is now in the works at HBO Max and has just added Tony-winning Broadway star Laura Benanti to its cast, Deadline reports.
Although Chace has not been announced as part of the cast he told Esquire earlier this year that if the idea were floated to him he would be amenable.
His future work includes a crime movie called Riptide that also stars Val Kilmer and is being helmed by Del Playa director Shaun Hart.
