- Emily Black Favreau was on her way to work when she saw a dog running down Santa Monica Blvd
- Instead of ignoring a dog in distress she pulled over and scooped him up
- Favreau thought to bring him to a vet to see if the owner microchipped him
- Sure enough, the owner did, and the dog’s owner is Chace Crawford
- Speaking to DailyMail.com Favreau says she’s happy she could reunite Crawford with his pup, and says its a reminder for people to get their pets microchipped
Chace Crawford was extremely lucky when his little pooch Shiner was found by some diligent people at a major public relations firm.
Emily Black Favreau tweeted: ‘Found dog! He’s safe and sound at our office now but found running down Santa Monica Blvd in WeHo near Hugo’s.’
Two of Favreau’s colleagues Lauren Asher and Kenna Alemania found the dog and brought him to the office. The group decided to bring him to the vet to see if they could track down the owner.
‘He appears to be mid-bath. No collar and a little damp. Very friendly and well behaved. Taking him to VCA Animal Hospital to see if he’s chipped,’ Favreau tweeted.

The slightly wet pup looked like he had escaped from bath time when Favreau found him
The colleagues had no idea when they brought the little guy in who the owner could be, of course.
Within hours of finding the pup, Favreau was able to share the happy re-union story on Twitter, with a very Hollywood twist.
‘You guys! Happy ending! Shiner has been reunited with his dad, Chace Crawford! Gotta love West Hollywood.’
Crawford is certainly grateful to be reunited with his beloved pooch Shiner whom he posts about to his social networks
Crawford has posted pics of his photogenic pup before and is lucky he was found by Emily Black Favreau who made sure to check and see if Shiner was microchipped
Speaking to DailyMail.com Favreau says she’s ‘glad Chace & the cute doggy are reunited.’
And she says, it’s an important reminder for people to get their pets microchipped. She sweetly adds the VCA Animal Hospital ‘is the hero in this story.’
Only in LA folks.
