Jacobs was previously in a long-term relationship with filmmaker Stevie Cruz-Martin.

While it’s unclear when Jacobs and Cruz-Martin broke up, the film and television director now appears to be based in London.

She debuted her new romance in an Instagram post in early 2023, sharing a photo of the two women kissing during Sydney World Pride celebrations.

In the caption, Jacobs revealed the pair went on their first date in February that year, going public when they had been an item for just four weeks.

‘Can’t ignore the numbers. First date 23/02/23. One month later 23/03/23,’ she wrote.

Natt first appeared on Jacobs’ Instagram feed on March 4 that year.

Jacobs told The Australian in 2021 she was brought up being told it was wrong to be gay and she would go to hell for her sexuality.

She also said she wanted her daughter Jade Dolman to have a more tolerant and accepting childhood than the one she had.

‘I wanted Jade to grow up with an open mind; I didn’t, because of our very Christian upbringing. We thought gays were going to hell,’ she said.

Jacobs, who was raised in a strict Christian family before coming out at the age of 21, previously struggled to accept she was gay.

‘I buried my sexuality so deep because of how we were brought up,’ she told The Sydney Morning Herald in February 2021.

Her mother Margaret has made it clear she does not accept her sexuality, but loves her all the same.

‘[My mother and I] have great conversations about all sorts of things, but there are certain things we just don’t talk about,’ she said.

‘I would love to be able to talk about relationship stuff with my mum, but I know that I will never be able to.’
