More and more Sydney high-flyers are buying South Coast holiday houses, and Channel Nine’s chief executive has just joined the list.

Hugh Marks just forked out $4 million for a stunning weekender located in the Berry hinterland.

The Shoalhaven district has been rising in popularity among high-rolling Sydney-siders ever since the Foxground and Berry bypass was completed last year.

The Broughton Vale property was previously owned by former NEC and Hewlett-Packard boss Alan Hyde and wife Joanne.

The contemporary retreat was designed by TDDP Architects and was built around ‘ecological and sustainable principles’.

Marks, who was appointed the role of Nine’s chief executive late 2015, has been living in Artarmon in his Californian bungalow since 1998.

He recently bought a $2,015,000 on a three-bedroom investment property in Neutral Bay.
