It is unknown if the couple are having a boy or girl at this stage.

Her brother, former Wests Tigers and Australian centre Chris Lawrence, was also elated at the news he will be an uncle.

Lawrence debuted for the Wests Tigers in 2006 as a 17-year-old schoolboy, days before his HSC exams, and carved out an impressive career as a strike centre.

He retired in 2020 with six appearances for the Kangaroos to his name.

In November of 2022, Emma Lawrence and cameraman Cade Thompson were robbed of $20,000 worth of equipment after their car was broken into at the Rugby League World Cup in England.

The window of their vehicle had been smashed in by thieves, with the shaken colleagues reporting the incident to police.
