Channel Nine star Leila McKinnon makes shocking discovery during afternoon stroll

Leila McKinnon was trying to enjoy a relaxing walk on Sunday when she came across a dangerous predator.

The Channel Nine star spotted a black snake slithering in the grass, sharing an image of the reptile to Instagram Stories.

Her visit to the beach shortly after was also disrupted, with the 51-year-old spotting a stinging bluebottle on the shore.

‘Speaking of snakes… and also this,’ she captioned the two images, adding a frightened face emoji.

The television personality has a tendency to cross paths with some of the more troublesome critters in nature’s menagerie.

The presenter revealed on Instagram that she’d she found two brushtail possums hiding behind her fridge – with one appearing to be injured.

She then called the wildlife rescue to capture the marsupials and release them back into the wild.
