Channel Nine Brisbane journalist Anna Rawlings and her partner Nick Toohey tied the knot in a quirky ceremony in  Tasmania earlier this year.

The couple’s Valentine’s Day wedding at Turners Marsh Uniting Church near Beaconsfield boasted unique touches, including donkey bartenders.

Among the standout features were the unconventional wait staff – two cute miniature donkeys.

The animals delighted guests by carrying Champagne magnums and Tassie ale in their saddlebags.

The offbeat addition added a touch of rural fun to the festivities.

Anna, 32, and Nick, 36, spared no detail in their celebration.

Other unconventional features included a lively reception with an ‘oyster trough’ and live music by local band Raccoon Dog.

The memorable event culminated with heartfelt speeches and canapes, with Anna changing into a second dress for the occasion.

The couple met on a dating site and recently enjoyed a safari honeymoon in South Africa.

From the historic venue to playful nods to Shrek, and nautical themes at their hen’s and buck’s nights, the wedding was a testament to both their personal style.

The courtroom reporter said she was thrilled to get married in such a memorable manner.

‘Aside from the donkeys, it was very special to be married at a venue with so much history that is owned by my parents,’ she told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

‘I also surprised myself by agreeing to a photo shoot in the cemetery.’

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds placed all the wedding flowers on the graves at the nearby ceremony.
