Channel Seven unveils new reality series Heartbreak Island Australia where contestants have the chance to win $100,000

Channel Seven has unveiled their latest reality TV offering.

The new series, titled Heartbreak Island Australia, will see 16 singles from Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US arrive in Fiji to find love and compete to win $100,000.

The series will be hosted by New Zealand television personality Clinton Randell, who previously co-hosted Dancing With The Stars.

On Monday, Randell told TV Tonight  he was over the moon about hosting the new series. 

‘I couldn’t wait to start shooting Heartbreak Island Australia, this time with our first-ever global cast,’ he told the publication. 

‘I cheered, laughed, teared up. I can’t wait for viewers to see it.’

One of the highlights of the series will be the ‘passion plays’ where contestants are given the opportunity to stray from their partner.

Heartbreak Island has already spawned one famous winner. 

Season one was won by Harry Jowsey, who went on to star on the Netflix dating series Too Hot to Handle.
