1. Change your linen

The first thing the mum-of-two said you need to do is change your linen.

Chantel recommends you wash your linen with half a cup of white vinegar instead of fabric softener, and put a little baking soda into your wash.

‘Baking soda is a natural deodoriser. You can use less detergent by putting it into your wash,’ Chantel said.

‘Vinegar softens and brightens linens without leaving a residue.

2. Do a load of laundry

Once this is done, the mum said doing a load of laundry will always make you feel better.

Again, Chantel is a huge fan of white vinegar for ‘softening and brightening’ clothes.

When it comes to bright colours and stopping them from fading, Chantel said you should turn them inside out, add one quarter of a cup of table salt to the drum, add liquid detergent and swap your fabric softener for half a cup of white vinegar.

You then just need to wash your colours on a regular cold cycle.

The reason why the table salt works is because it helps to ‘set the colour into the fabric and prevents any fading’.

3. Empty and clean the sink

A clean sink is a clean mind, so Chantel said one of the easiest ways to make your house look amazing is to empty out your sink and give it a good clean.

She then adds a dusting of baking soda on top of the dishwashing liquid and buffs the powerful cleaning combination into her sink with a microfibre cloth.

‘This mix is powerful at cutting through limescale and water spots,’ Chantel said.

4. Clean the benchtops and splash back

A simple wipe of your benchtops and splash back will transform your space in seconds.

Chantel uses a microfibre cloth with some dishwashing liquid on it to buff and ensure the surfaces are clean.

5. Do a living room tidy

Finally, Chantel explained that a quick tidy of the living room will always make a home feel more tidy.

Thousands of people who saw the clip were quick to compliment it.

‘Thank you so much for this. Motivation is the number one reason why I don’t clean,’ one person posted.
