Fans have been left standing outside the London Stadium due to issues with digital tickets, forcing them to miss the opening stages of West Ham’s clash with Arsenal.

The digital tickets have reportedly disappeared and can not be added back to the fans’ phones, meaning they can’t get through the turnstiles.

As a result, the supporters stuck outside the stadium missed kick-off and the opening 20 minutes of the Premier League clash.

Ticketing staff were on hand outside the London Stadium, trying to sort the issue as quickly as possible to prevent the fans from missing any more of the game.

Nevertheless, the fans outside the stadium grew frustrated with the situation and took to social media to make their feelings known.

One fan wrote: ‘Millwall Football Club is ran better with ticketing than West Ham.’ Another added: ‘I am missing the game, can someone sort this out West Ham!’.

Nevertheless, fans will be looking forward to the Premier League clash between West Ham and Arsenal at the London Stadium.

Arsenal will be looking to close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table by picking up all three points.

However, they will have to do so without Emile Smith Rowe as he suffered an ankle injury during training earlier in the week.

Smith Rowe has been hampered by injuries in recent seasons and started just two games for the Gunners this term.

Speaking ahead of the match, Arteta told Sky Sports: ‘Emile turned his ankle in training so he’s not fit to play.’

The Arsenal boss did not reveal the severity of the injury to Smith Rowe, who returned from a knee injury in December.

The latest setback will come as a huge blow to the 23-year-old given that he recently earned a start in last month’s win over Nottingham Forest after training well.
