Charlamagne tha God clashes with Lara Trump after cracking up at her wild claim about Donald: ‘Why is that funny?’

Radio host Charlamagne tha God laughed in Lara Trump’s face after asking claiming father-in-law Donald wasn’t racist.

The radio host, real name Lenard McKelvey, had the RNC co-chair on his popular The Breakfast Club show Monday, weeks after hosting a town hall with Kamala Harris.

Co-host DJ Envy asked Trump to respond to the notion that people feel Donald Trump is ‘racist,’ citing lawsuits filed against him for not renting to black people and his treatment of the Central Park Five.

‘That’s ridiculous. I’ve known this man for sixteen years. There was never any proof of anything with the houses; they settled that. There was no admission of anything there,’ Trump said.

Charlamagne, however, could no longer contain his laughter after Lara said: ‘Donald Trump was really beneficial to the Black community when he was in the White House. I will say I’ve never seen this man say a racist thing.’

Lara, annoyed by the interruption, asked: ‘Why is that funny, Charlamagne?’

‘It’s hysterical,’ he responded. ‘People act like there’s no such thing as Google or they don’t have TV or radio.’

She then asked Charlamagne to come up with racist things the former president had said in the past.

‘This is a man who was beloved by so many people in this country, and he was friends with everybody. Jesse Jackson, by the way… [Trump] let them stay rent-free in one of his buildings – the Rainbow Coalition – because he felt like at the time that was a very important thing.’

She then responded to Charlamagne’s complaints about how Trump speaks about immigrants by saying her father-in-law is only against illegal immigration.

‘If you’re an American citizen, Donald Trump doesn’t care [about] your religion. He doesn’t care what you look like,’ she said.

While he has hosted Harris for a town hall, Charlamagne has also criticized the ticket, including their pick of Tim Walz as a running mate.

The Breakfast Club radio host summed it up, ‘I don’t think he’s garbage’ after first citing a stinging Jay-Z lyric when considering if Walz was the right pick for a potential vice president over other choices like Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.

Charlamagne sarcastically mused on whether Minnesota’s governor is the best ‘white man that excites other white people’, but admitted he fails to see Walz’s ‘impact’.

Paraphrasing the Jay-Z hit ‘Takeover,’ Charlamagne asked, ‘What did Jay-Z say? “He had a spark when he started, but now he’s just garbage”?’

‘I don’t think he’s garbage, you know what I’m saying? But it’s just like, I don’t see the impact.’

In their one-on-one, Charlamagne discussed legalizing marijuana, reparations for black people and American foreign policy spending.
