The death of a chef found in a pool of blood at a Melbourne home on Thursday lead police to confiscate five cannabis plants from the backyard of the property.
Emergency services were called to the Wood Street residence in the Melbourne suburb of Preston around 7pm.
Officers located the deceased 35-year-old, who is yet to be identified, at the scene.

On Friday detectives worked to examine the property with a crime scene guard in place for most of the morning, 9 News reported.
The marijuana was seized from the home in the afternoon by police who loaded them into a trailer.
A neighbour said they heard a disturbance coming from the back of the home and a woman said ‘we should probably call an ambulance’.

Two women who said they would prefer not to comment on the matter attended the property and took some belongings from the home.
‘It’s not good, it’s not very safe area anymore,’ local resident Laurie Whyte said.
