Footballer and songwriter Chelcee Grimes has revealed she is ‘on a dating detox’ because she ‘has everything she needs in life’.
The star, 31, spoke on the new episode of entertainment show Getting Lippy, presented by Slingo, about her dating life following high profile dalliances.
Chelcee’s dating life was flung into the spotlight in 2019 when she enjoyed a romance with Love Island beauty Megan Barton Hanson before she hit headlines following a kiss with Christine McGuinness in 2022.
Now however, she is happily free and single, as she told Getting Lippy: ‘I feel like my life is in a really good place right now, I’ve got everything I could have wished for genuinely and more in abundance…So I’m just on a bit of a dating detox right now…
‘I’ve just not met the right person. But I don’t know when I’m going to meet them because I just work and I come home to the dog. I never go out and I’m not on dating apps. I’m 31, I’m just about to move into my dream home, I’ve still got time.’

Chelcee previously formed a close friendship with Christine with the pair even pictured kissing in December 2022.
The pair have since unfollowed each other on social media. The kiss came after Christine split from husband Paddy McGuinness in the summer of 2022, after 11 years of marriage and share three children together.
In 2019 meanwhile, she went public with Megan, just months after the Love Island star came out as bisexual, leading to a relationship between the pair.
Chelcee confessed however there is one woman who could make her change her mind – Lady Gaga.
She said: ‘My celebrity crush is Lady Gaga, I just think she’s absolutely amazing and I would love to work with her. I don’t get starstruck with anybody. I’m not bothered. Like we’re all the same, but if I saw her, I don’t know what I’d do!…

‘When I was about 16, I couldn’t really relate to anyone in the charts, and I was at that awkward age, when you’re still trying to figure yourself out and my sexuality…
‘And then she came out and it was the first person I’d seen in music who represented something for gay people and was advocating for it…
‘And she was different, as was her music. And I just thought, if she’s made it then I can. She was a bit different and a bit odd and was just really cool.’
