Enzo Fernandez scored his first Premier League goal for Chelsea as Mauricio Pochettino’s side bounced back from their 4-1 defeat by Newcastle last week to beat Brighton 3-2 on Sunday.

Fernandez put the home side 1-0 up inside 20 minutes heading home a cross from Benoit Badiashile. Levi Colwill followed up with their second not long after heading in.

Facundo Buonanotte pulled a goal back for Brighton, smashing the ball past Robert Sanchez in net just before half-time.

But there was drama before the break, with Chelsea captain Conor Gallagher conceding his second yellow card of the match and was sent off.

Fernandez would follow up with his second goal scoring from the spot after James Milner brought Mykhailo Mudryk down inside the box.

Brighton rescued a goal late from Benicio Baker-Boaitey and continued to press on Chelsea, but the Blues shut up shop to secure the three points.
