Chelsea ‘are considering bringing back Eden Hazard this summer with Real Madrid happy to sell him for £51m’… while Timo Werner is ‘unhappy at Stamford Bridge and wants move if new striker joins’
- Chelsea are reportedly considering an Eden Hazard return this summer
- The Blues sold the Belgian winger to Real Madrid for an initial £88million in 2019
- Real are willing to let Hazard go back to Chelsea for £51m this year, say reports
- Meanwhile, Timo Werner is said to want a Chelsea exit if a new striker arrives
Chelsea are contemplating the idea of bringing Eden Hazard back to the club from Real Madrid this summer, according to reports.
The Belgian winger has endured a difficult two seasons in Spain since joining Real from the Blues in an initial £88million, with the 30-year-old playing just 21 times for the Spanish giants last season in an injury-hit season.
Overall, Hazard has scored just five Real goals in the two seasons in Spain, despite hitting double digit goal tallies in six of the seven seasons he spent at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian winger was a cult hero at Stamford Bridge before joining Real Madrid in 2019
And according to Spanish news outlet AS, intermediaries are trying to sound out a potential Chelsea return for Hazard – with Real Madrid happy to sell the winger for around £51m this summer.
The report adds that while Los Blancos would be keen to cut ties with Hazard this summer, they accept that it will be difficult to convince the Blues the stump up that sort of money, especially when they are chasing £170m-rated Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Hazard has not only frustrated the Real Madrid fans with his inconsistent performances and fitness record, but he also angered his own supporters for laughing when his side were knocked out of the Champions League semi-finals by Chelsea earlier this year.

The forward – who returned to Stamford Bridge for the first time since his huge transfer to Spain in 2019 – was seen smiling and laughing with Kurt Zouma and Edouard Mendy at full-time.
Hazard took to Instagram straight away to issue an apology, saying it wasn’t his ‘intention to offend Real Madrid fans’ and that it is a ‘dream’ to play for the club.
Hazard took to his Instagram story to say: ‘I am sorry. I have read a lot of opinions about me today and it wasn’t my intention to offend Real Madrid fans.
‘It has always been my dream to play for Real Madrid and I came here to win. The season is not over and together we must now battle for La Liga. Hala Madrid!’

Meanwhile, Timo Werner is reportedly unhappy at Stamford Bridge and could leave Chelsea
Meanwhile, other reports claim that Chelsea forward Timo Werner is looking to quit the club after just one season at Stamford Bridge.
The German striker moved to west London from RB Leipzig last summer for £53m but ended his debut Premier League campaign with just six goals to his name.
Despite playing a key role in the back end of the season under Thomas Tuchel, which saw the Blues lift the Champions League trophy in May, 90min claim that the 25-year-old is unhappy at the club and is happy to move on if Chelsea bring in another striker this summer.
While Werner’s Premier League goal record was a concern, the forward did notch up 12 top-flight assists in his debut campaign in England – ending the season with 12 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.

This summer could see Chelsea revamp their striker options before their first full season under German head coach Tuchel.
Olivier Giroud has already quit the Blues to join AC Milan for £1m, while Tammy Abraham is not fancied by Tuchel having been virtually exiled by the club since February, with the young forward linked with a move to Arsenal.
Abraham was also reportedly offered in a player-plus-cash offer in an opening bid for Dortmund star Haaland, along with Callum Hudson-Odoi – who has often been linked with a Stamford Bridge exit.
