A four-bedroom houseboat moored on one of the Thames’ most exclusive piers has gone on the market for an eye-watering £2.5million.
Flagship, which is docked in Chelsea’s only privately-owned pier, has undergone a complete redesign to ‘produce one of the most beautiful houseboats to be seen on the Thames’.
Built in Holland by the Van der Windt shipyard in 1915, the 108ft by 20ft vessel spent her halcyon years sailing the rivers and canals of Europe, carrying dry cargo until 1940.
In the 1980s, she was purchased by one of London’s leading restaurateurs and has spent most of her past 25 years between Chelsea Bridge and Albert Bridge.
The vessel harbours four double en-suit bedrooms with a dressing room in the master bedroom, and an open plan living room ‘providing generous space to entertain with stunning views’.
Flagship also comes with air cooling and climate control to all bedrooms, the fully-fitted kitchen, reception and sky lounge.
But potential buyers should consider the mooring and maintenance fees before setting sail because they chalk up to £27,900 per year.
Flagship is being sold by estate agents Russell and Simpson, who can be reached at 020 8115 5513.
Flagship has gone on the market at an eye-watering £2,500,000 and is based in Chelesea’s only privately-owner pier, Cardogan Pier
