Chelsea have re-opened talks with Juventus over the sale of Romelu Lukaku that could yet see Dusan Vlahovic come to Stamford Bridge.

Juventus had been waiting for Paris St Germain to sign Vlahovic to fund an improved bid for Lukaku but the French champions are targeting Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt and Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.

Juventus have floated the idea of Chelsea buying Vlahovic for a fee plus Lukaku and the Blues are keen on the proposition.

They are willing to fork out between £21.5million and £38.5m on top to secure a sale.

Although Vlahovic’s wages have previously been considered a stumbling block as Chelsea look to restructure salaries.

According to Sky Sports, there is still no definitive agreement in place on how much Chelsea should pay but both clubs are still negotiating.

Lukaku had initially been linked with a move back to Inter Milan this summer.

However, Inter pulled out of the race for the 30-year-old upon hearing he had held talks with Juventus at the same time.

Juve initially offered to take Lukaku on loan next season but the proposition was swiftly rejected by Chelsea.

The Blues want to rid themselves of him permanently and are willing to let him go for as little as £34.2m – a significant loss on the £97.5m they paid for him back in 2021.

Meanwhile, Juventus value Vlahovic at £68.5m and are open to offers.
