‘The whole thing was crazy’: Christian Pulisic admits he didn’t realise Ajax had two players sent off in seconds in eight-goal thriller at Chelsea

- It came during the same passage of play that brought the Blues a penalty
Christian Pulisic didn’t realise Ajax had two players sent off within seconds of each other in the madcap 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Daley Blind and Joel Veltman were both sent off for Ajax in a crazy passage of play with the Dutch side 4-2 up over Chelsea at the time.
Blind was punished for a wild lunge on Tammy Abraham in the 68th minute.

Play was allowed to go on and Veltman joined him in receiving his marching orders when his handball gave away a penalty.
‘[The penalty] made the game even wilder and gave us more confidence to get those next two goals’, Pulisic admitted afterward.
‘The whole thing was crazy, I didn’t even realise they got two red cards to be honest.
‘It was pretty wild.’
