He believes the 20-year old can still contribute to Chelsea’s campaign but will discuss the offer with the player before giving any loan the green light.
Hudson Odoi has attracted interest from the Bundesliga previously, with Chelsea rejecting an offer from Bayern Munich last summer.
Bayern offered a loan deal with an option to buy for £70million but the winger ended up staying at Stamford Bridge.

He has been an unused substitute in each of Chelsea’s Premier League games this season but did start the UEFA Super Cup final against Villarreal.
Tuchel was memorably harsh with Hudson Odoi when he substituted him against Southampton last season, 31 minutes after he had come off the bench.
The manager said he was unhappy with his energy and attitude but the pair moved on from the incident and Hudson Odoi continued to feature throughout the campaign.
The winger turned down a call-up for England U21 this week in order to focus on his development at Chelsea but Tuchel said he would have benefitted from game time.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also in discussions with Reading over a proposed deal for Danny Drinkwater.
The 31-year old has one year left on contract but Chelsea may agree to a loan if Reading contribute to his wages.
Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko was in Milan on Sunday for his medical prior to signing for AC Milan while 19-year old Tino Anjorin is wanted by Lokimotiv Moscow.
