Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas dazzle out in Mayfair

Rather than musing on what might have been, Prince Harry’s former flames Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas hit the town this weekend to show him what he’s missing.

Both dazzling in embellished black evening dresses, vivacious law graduate Chelsy, 32, partied at Claridge’s in Mayfair, while last night actress Cressida, at 28 almost a decade Meghan Markle’s junior, attended the Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

Chelsy and Cressy are understood to have split amicably with Harry, preferring to pursue their careers without the pressure of being a royal consort.

Chelsy recently said she ‘couldn’t cope’ with the attention their relationship attracted.

 Car trouble for Hammond

Richard ‘Hamster’ Hammond is grateful to have survived a life-threatening electric car crash in the Swiss Alps while filming Amazon Prime’s motoring show The Grand Tour.

But, taken alongside his coma-inducing blow-out in September 2006, it has created a practical challenge — car insurance. ‘They ask, “have you had any accidents?”’ he tells me. ‘“Er, just a bit.” As a show our insurance is quite high and that’s my fault.’

Hammond’s colleague James May quotes his premium as £5,000 a year, which seems cheap at half the price.

Hicks takes the mick out of reality star

Angelica Hicks’s father, Ashley, is the godson of Prince Philip and her great grandfather was the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, but she’s not too grand for jokes.

Illustrator Angelica, 25, posted this picture online of herself wearing a frilly bra and knickers over her jeans and T-shirt.

She was poking fun at the U.S. reality TV star Kim Kardashian, who was praised by a fashion website for ‘turning underwear into outerwear’.

Angelica wrote next to the snap: ‘Same.’

Meghan Markle is used to star billing, but the American actress must get used to an uncredited role in The Firm.

Although she was the big attraction at her first public engagement on Friday, she failed to gain a mention in the Court Circular, the official record of royal events.

It read merely: ‘Prince Henry of Wales this morning met members of the public outside the National Justice Museum, Nottingham.’

A courtier tells me: ‘Ms Markle will not be included until after their wedding.’

Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes complains she has no casting couch scandals to report.

‘With regret,’ says the 76-year-old actress, ‘I’ve never been asked to go to bed with anybody to get a part.’
