Cher Lloyd has revealed she is planning on releasing new music this year.
The singer, 31, delighted her fans when she announced plans to release new music – over a decade after the release of her last album.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Cher shared a stunning selfie and wrote: ‘Happy new year! I think it’s time for some new music…. this is not a drill!!’
Cher, who found fame on The X Factor in 2010, released her debut album Sticks And Stones the following year which featured the number one single Swagger Jagger.
She released her second album Sorry I’m Late in 2014 which reached number 21 on the UK Albums Chart.
Fans were delighted to hear Cher plans on releasing new music and wrote: ‘You do not understand how excited we all are’.

Cher is mother to daughters Delilah-Rae, six, and 16-month-old Eliza with her husband Craig Monk.

She now looks worlds away from her time on The X Factor, where she was known for her voluminous hairstyles and dramatic eye make-up.
Despite a glittering start in the competition, things went downhill for Cher when her alleged behind-the-scenes tantrums caused her to be labelled as Britain’s most ‘hated teen’, with judge Louis Walsh even branding her ‘too big for her boots’.
Cher ended up coming in fourth place on the show, with that year’s series won by Matt Cardle.
After becoming one of the most promising stars in the industry, it was announced in 2013 that Cher had parted ways with Syco Records due to creative differences with boss Simon Cowell.

Looking back on her ‘diva’ persona during her time on the show, Cher told Fabulous magazine back in 2012: ‘I was a beast! Everyone hated me.
‘I was young and foolish. Part of me was trying to show I was strong enough to do it, and then I think it all got too much for me.
‘I was angry with the way I was being edited and because of that I turned into this horrible person, with a terrible attitude.’
