Cherie Coutts, 38, vanished in a van in Queensland

Police are desperately searching for a woman who vanished in a van with no number plates being driven by an older man.

Cherie Coutts, 38, was last seen leaving an Alexandra Hills address in Queensland in a white van driven by a 49-year-old man known to her.

The vehicle, described as a white VW Sprinter van, had no number plates and was last spotted in Charles Court around 3.30pm on Friday afternoon, December 8.

The man is from West Albury in New South Wales and it is possible the van is travelling interstate from Queensland, police said.

Family hold concerns for Ms Coutts as she has not been in contact since Friday afternoon, and is not answering her mobile phone.

She is described as white, approximately 165 centimetres tall with a slim build, blue eyes and light brown hair.

The man is described as white, 170 centimetres tall with blue eyes.

Anyone who may have seen Ms Coutts or has any information in relation to her whereabouts is urged to contact Policelink on 131 444.
