Cheryl Maitland to appear in MAFS spin-off Talking Married

She’s the busty brunette who catapulted herself into the spotlight by appearing  on season four of Married At First Sight.

And while her on-screen match fell apart, Cheryl Maitland later found love with current boyfriend Dean Gibbs.

Now, it looks like the  26-year-old is coming full circle as she signs up to front new Married At First Sight spin-off reported 9Honey on Thursday.

Cheryl became a star on Married at First Sight after her controversial ‘marriages’ to fellow contestant Jonathan Troughton and Andrew ‘Jonesy’ Jones.

Her initial match with Jonathan fell apart before she was later paired up with ‘Jonesy’, before that romance also imploded.

Since then she has found love with Dean Gibbs, a plumber from Melbourne who was formerly a disgraced police officer and convicted drug trafficker.

Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph earlier this week executive producers of Married At First Sight admitted the success rate for couples in previous seasons of the show left much to be desired.

‘The success rate is not as high as we’d like,’ executive producer of the show, Tara McWilliams told the publication.

She added: ‘However our objective is still as high as ever, which is to find relationships for these singles.’
