A man who calls himself ‘The Chicken Connoisseur’ has been given his own TV show by Channel 4. 

Fast-food critic Elijah Quashie has been signed up to present The Peng Life, in which he will sample food and fashion at ‘street’ and ‘elite’ level to decide which is best. 

The 24-year-old has already bagged a book deal after taking social media by storm with his hilarious reviews of London’s best fried chicken shops.

It will compile the UK’s top 50 chicken shops across the country nominated by the public online and will hit the shelves in October.

It will be called ‘In Search of the Nation’s 50 Favourite Chicken Establishments’.
