The Kansas City Chiefs have been given another headache as a key offensive player has been added to the injury report.
Juju Smith-Schuster has been a starter at wide receiver following the injuries to both Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and Rashee Rice, and the veteran led the Chiefs with 130 receiving yards in Week 5.
On Thursday, though, he was added to the Chiefs’ injury report with a hamstring issue, as he was only able to practice in a limited fashion.
A day prior, he was a full participant in practice with no injury designation.
Following Brown’s shoulder injury in the preseason and Rashee Rice’s knee injury earlier this month – which are both likely to be season-ending – the Chiefs are extremely thin at wide receiver.

Rookie Xavier Worthy has shown some flashes, while Justin Watson and Mecole Hardman have familiarity with Andy Reid’s offense.
But Smith-Schuster and tight end Travis Kelce are certainly the most experienced pass-catchers on the team, and it would be a blow for Patrick Mahomes not to have the former at his disposal when the Chiefs visit the 49ers this weekend.
Despite their injuries on offense – which also include starting running back Isaiah Pacheco being placed on IR with a leg injury – the Chiefs are undefeated to start the season.
Travis Kelce has stepped up since Rashee Rice’s injury with 16 catches for 159 yards in the last two games
Mahomes and Co. have achieved a 5-0 record with wins over the Ravens, Bengals, Falcons, Chargers and Saints.
The reigning NFC champion 49ers have stumbled out to the gate to a 3-3 start, but had an emphatic 36-24 win over the Seahawks last week.
Their matchup with the Chiefs kicks off at 4:25ET.
