Chiefs star Travis Kelce is notably absent from OTAs for a third straight day

  • Fans are wondering if Kelce is in L.A. to film a horror TV show, called ‘Grotesque’
  • His teammate and quarterback Patrick Mahomes was in practice on Wednesday

Travis Kelce was notably absent from the Kansas City Chiefs’ voluntary organized team activities (OTAs) on Wednesday as he continues to travel around the world with his popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift.

According to reports in Kansas City, the 34-year-old tight end was not at the team’s voluntary OTAs this entire week, so far, with users on X wondering if the three-time Super Bowl champion is in L.A. to film a horror TV series called, ‘Grotesque’, or if he is still on the ‘Old Continent’ with his significant other.

One Swiftie in particular suggested that Kelce is in Portugal with the singer.

However, the team later revealed on social media that Kelce was in attendance for Monday’s practice.

His teammate and quarterback Patrick Mahomes was in practice on Wednesday, as he took part in some conditioning and throwing drills with new wide receiver Xavier Worthy, and Sky Moore.

Troubled wideout Rashee Rice was also at the University of Kansas Health System Training Complex amid his legal troubles after his involvement in a multi-car crash, earlier this spring.

Former rugby player and newcomer Louis-Rees Zammit was spotted in drills, too. The Welshman, who signed with the Chiefs in March, is Kansas City’s newest running back.

Kelce’s decision to snub the Chiefs’ OTAs has raised eyebrows within and outside the franchise, considering what he said last year about football’s equivalent to baseball’s spring training.

‘I just love the game,’ he told reporters back then. ‘I think that keeps me living like a young, fun-loving football player. I get to play a game for a living at the age of 33, 34 — and I don’t want to lose that.

‘I don’t want to lose that excitement that I had for the game when I was a kid.’

He added: ‘Every single day I get to come in with the best team, best players, (and) best coaches in the world so it makes it easy to just come in here and just enjoy it.’

This past weekend, Kelce was seen living it up at his own musical festival – Kelce Jam  – in Kansas City with Mahomes, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and Diplo.

Before that he was out for a lavish dinner and boat ride with Swift in Lake Como, Italy, as the popstar continues to tour Europe for her ‘Eras’ Tour.
