Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay has been suspended four games without pay for violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Gay’s suspension is related to an arrest for a misdemeanor criminal damage in Overland Park in January.
The 24-year-old was arrested on January 19 on a charge of criminal damage of less than $1,000.
A police report obtained by DailyMail.com shows that along with a vacuum cleaner, Gay is also alleged to have damaged a wall, humidifier and cell phone screen protector.
A representative for Gay told TMZ that he was visiting his son when the argument broke out, and insisted that the altercation did not turn physical.

‘No one was touched, nothing happened beyond a broken appliance,’ Maxx Lepselter said in a statement at the time.
‘She called cops about it and they took him in on misdemeanor destruction of property of less than $1,000.’
He will be eligible to return to Kansas City’s active roster on October 17, after the Chiefs matchup with Buffalo.
Gay does have one other misdemeanor on his criminal record, according to a LexisNexis search: A speeding charge for driving between 20-25mph above the listed limit
In all likelihood, Gay will play against San Francisco in Santa Clara on October 23 in a rematch of Super Bowl LIV.

He paid a $155.50 fine for the 2020 infraction.

Gay will miss pivotal games against the Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders and the Bills.
Gay started in both of the Chiefs’ wins this season, amassing 16 tackles.
The Mississippi native and Mississippi State product was a second-round pick in 2020 and appeared in 14 games as a rookie before an injury knocked him out of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LV loss to the Buccaneers.
