It turns out a basketball doesn’t have to just be used to shoot some hoops as one man and a dog discovered an alternative purpose for it.
In a video, filmed last month, a man, thought to be from the US, can be seen dribbling two basketballs – but what happens next is far from your average session on the courts.
After placing the basketballs on the ground, the man does a handstand on the two sporting props, remaining balanced atop the two balls for about ten seconds.
An alternative use: A video shows a man walking towards the camera with two basketballs – which he then proceeds to balance on, while doing a handstand
Balancing act: The clip wasn’t done there, however. After the man got down, a Chihuahua hopped on top of a basketball and copied him by balancing himself on the sporting props
During that time, the man, wearing fitted sweatpants and a black T-shirt, uses his palms to grip the ball while he legs protrude into the air.
At one point, both his legs stretch to either side of him and then come together to extend before he bends them to come off the basketballs.
But after the man comes down from his handstand, the nearby dog wants to have a go at balancing on a basketball.
The Chihuahua then runs to the basketballs, hops on one and begins to balance as the ball rolls on the ground.
My turn: The tiny dog starts out by balancing on just one of the basketballs, before jumping over to the other
Stop, hop and roll: The dog picked up its tiny paws to keep from falling as the ball rolled across the ground
As the dog balances, the Chihuahua picks up its tiny paws and quickly places them back on the basketball to keep from falling over.
The Chihuahua balances on the basketball for about 12 seconds but gets bored and decided to jump to the other ball next to it.
The dog stays on the other basketball for about eight seconds where it manages to keep its poise and composure while balancing.
But all good things must come to an end as the man decides to grab the dog from on top of the basketball.
After the Chihuahua is placed on the ground, the man and the dog can be seen walking side-by-side as they head into the house.
