A child found in a car with critical injuries is fighting for life in hospital as temperatures soared to a scorching 34 degrees.
The child, of unknown age and gender, was discovered on Maddox Road in the inner Melbourne suburb of Newport.
Police were called after an ‘incident’ at 2:45pm and the child was rushed to Royal Children’s Hospital, Nine News reported.
