The first method is practical in the case of fixed installations or occasional updates. In contrast, remotely programmable displays come with specialized software installed on a computer, facilitating updates, which can be quite frequent.

These models are mainly recommended for installations where content needs to be changed regularly, e.g. in the case of dynamic advertising or real-time communication. Remote management allows content to be updated quickly and efficiently, without the need to physically intervene on the display.
