MMA star Chris Barnett steals the show at UFC 268 with stunning roundhouse kick to seal first UFC knockout win… before heavyweight celebrates with a sensational front flip (despite weighing 19 STONE!)

UFC fighter Chris Barnett, who weighs an incredible 19 stone, sealed his victory over Gian Villante with a stunning wheel kick knock out – before celebrating in the cage with a front flip.

The 35-year-old American heavyweight produced the stunning move in the second round of his UFC 268 clash with Villante in New York, with the roundhouse kick stunning his fellow UFC veteran with two minutes of the round remaining.

Barnett managed to floor Villante with the kick before keeping his opponent floored with a series of punches, which forced the referee to stop the fight when the American could not take any more.

But Villante’s compatriot Barnett then raced off in celebration before showing even more excellent athleticism with a well-timed front flip in the Madison Square Gardens cage.

It was Barnett’s first ever UFC victory, with the American, born in the Spanish city of Zaragoza, formerly a regular at Xtreme Fight Night and Island Fight events.

The roundhouse kick victory came in Barnett’s second ever UFC fight, with the American losing to 40-year-old Ben Rothwell via a guillotine choke in May of this year.

Barnett continued to win over UFC fans by showing good sportsmanship to 36-year-old opponent Villante, with the victor paying tribute to his fellow American who has small children alongside his MMA career.

‘My man right here, 2-week-old at home,’ Barnett said about Villante after the fight. ‘He’s about to retire, excellent football coach, got another son that’s 22 months.

‘This is his town, this is his place, y’all stand up, cheer for my man. This might have been his last one, but this ain’t. He’s going to be riding with me from now on.’

Barnett clinched the victory in a UFC 268 event which saw Kamaru Usman beat Colby Covington via a points decision after the Nigerian Nightmare dropped his opponent twice in the second round.

Meanwhile, Rose Namajunas defended her strawweight belt against Zhang Weili by a unanimous decision, while Justin Gaethje’s clash with Michael Chandler was a Fight of the Year contender to start the main card.

Gaethje beat Chandler in a brutal decision victory which saw both fighters head off to hospital after the clash.
