Chris Eubank Jr refused to take a day off hard training to celebrate his birthday as he shared a video of his gym session.

The super-middleweight turned 28 on Monday and posted footage of numerous drills during which he exhibited ferocious speed and accuracy.

He also walked to training with an oversized luxury kit bag and said: ‘It’s my birthday, you’ve got to walk to the gym in style, that’s the number one rule.’

The clip then cut to Eubank Jr wearing white sports leggings and trainers with no top on, pushing himself whilst throwing lightening fast combinations.

Some further work on the aqua bag followed by the pads finished off a productive day and on October 7 Eubank Jr will hope to reap the rewards.

He is fighting unbeaten Turkish fighter Avni Yildirim (16-0) in the next installment of the Super Eight competition.

The duo will square off in Stuttgart for the right to face Callum Smith in the semi-final after the Liverpudlian earned a decision win over Erik Skoglund in last weekend’s quarter final.

Eubank Jr chose to fight Yildirim when the draw was made in Monte Carlo so should fancy his chances of progressing in the star-studded tournament.

He is three successful fights away from lifting the Muhammed Ali trophy and if his training schedule is anything to go by, appears to be full committed to that goal.
