He’s been soaking up the praise following the release of Hollywood blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok.
But on Sunday, Chris Hemsworth, 34, took some well-earned time out with his children and brother Luke, 37.
The close-knit family were seen enjoying themselves as they headed down to a beach in Malibu, California.

Chris relaxed and chatted with his older brother Luke by the ocean while his five-year-old daughter India Rose and twin three-year-old sons Tristan and Sasha played on the shore.
The A-lister appeared to be in good spirits as he joked and chatted animatedly with Luke.
Chris was seen wearing a casual ensemble that consisted of a plain grey T-shirt and a relaxed fit pair of black pants.
The hunk teamed the garments with black trainers, and accessorised with a pair of designer sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Westworld star Luke also cut a casual figure on the beach, wearing a blue T-shirt and black jeans.

He completed the outfit with a pair of sunglasses and a black cap, while he opted to go barefoot in the sand.
The family beach date came a week after Chris agreed to take on Jack Black in a ‘battle of the jams’ in an effort to protect his Thor character’s honour.
Chris took to Instagram in response to an earlier claim by Jack that Thor: Ragnarok copied School of Rock by using the Led Zeppelin track Immigrant Song in a fight scene.
Challenge accepted: The family beach date came a week after Chris agreed to take on Jack Black in a ‘battle of the jams’ in an effort to protect his Thor character’s honour
In a long-winded and humourous rebuttal, Chris picked up the gauntlet thrown down by Jack.
The actor proposed that the pair compete in a ‘battle of the jams’ despite not knowing what it was.
‘You’re right, you got me, guilty as charged,’ Chris said in the video.
‘We stole Immigrant Song from you, but guess what? You stole it, too and as Oscar Wilde once said: “Talent borrows and genius steals,” so we’re both guilty of the same crime.’
Continuing, Chris happily accepted Jack’s challenge and said: ‘You challenged me to a battle of the jams – I don’t know what that means.

‘I don’t know what a battle of the jams is – I know what jam is. Jam on toast – I love a bit of that. A little Pearl Jam – awesome – and just general jamming.
‘So, yeah let’s do it, whatever. My place or yours, baby?’
Chris’ rebuttal came after the Kung Fu Panda star called him out via Instagram on Saturday.
‘You know in School of Rock when I sing a part of that monstrous Led Zeppelin jam Immigrant Song and it’s super b**chin’ and like the raddest part of the movie?’ Jack began.
‘Well it’s come to my attention that someone stole that chunk of our movie and put it in their movie.
‘That’s right, I’m talking about Thor: Ragnarok. Totally bit our style, totally poached our jam and now they’re parading around town like they thought of it.’
Finishing his tirade, Jack called Chris out with: ‘I’m calling you out, Thor. This is a challenge. I challenge you to a battle – a battle of the jams.’
Hamming it up: Continuing the joke, Jack shared a second video to the social media platform that showed him with his A House With The Clock In The Walls co-stars, including Cate Blanchett, re-enacting the slow-motion fight scene in question
