Now collaborating with McDonald’s to celebrate Big Mac’s 50th birthday, the hunk’s comments come as he enters the ring with reality stars Oliver Proudlock and Joey Essex to ‘battle’ it out in a funny video.
Chris and Olivia first met during 2017’s installment of ITV2’s Love Island and quickly grabbed the nation’s attention with their intense romance which changed like the tides.
Having gone through their fair shares of trials and tribulations, the couple are set to document the next chapter of their life together with their new reality show Crackin’ On, which follows them as they prepare to move in together.
The hunk hit back at commentators that believed that their romance was anything but real, adding that while they ‘push each other’s buttons’ their love is unconditional.
‘We wouldn’t argue all the time if it wasn’t real because you just wouldn’t go to that level of emotion,’ he began. ‘We wind each other up, we push each other’s buttons.’

‘We kind of ignore it, everyone thought when we came out of Love Island that it was fake then but we’ve proved a lot of people wrong. We’re seven months into our relationship now.
Adding: ‘We’re passionate people. You get a lot of couples who fight and pretend everything is fine then tweet that “my boyfriend bought me flowers, what an amazing boyfriend” and that’s fake in my opinion.
‘You’ve just had a blow out with your boyfriend, you’re not going to start professing to him on your social media and pretend that everything is alright. We don’t care what other people think of our relationship, all we care is about what each other think.’
Excited for fans to see their domestic life, Chris added that they hope viewers will enjoy the journey with them and see that while they may argue, they have fun together.

He divulged: ‘I’ve always wanted to be an actor, I don’t know why. I guess even more so now being infront of the camera. But you have to be unbelievable, gone to acting school and have a bit behind you.
‘I ain’t got any of that but I would like to. Potentially, I wouldn’t mind getting into it if there was a little role for me somewhere.
Explaining: ‘The aim would be Hollywood, wouldn’t it? They love a British boy don’t they? I don’t know, I do like soaps, I do watch soaps, it’s something easy to watch. I haven’t really given it much thought, who knows what the future holds?’
‘You know what I think you’re right, I think I could [be the next Jason Statham]. We’ll get Spielberg on it, drop him a little message.’

The confession comes as Chris has teamed up with fellow reality TV stars Oliver Proudlock, 29, and Joey Essex, 27, to celebrate Big Mac’s 50th birthday.
Speaking about the campaign, the former golf ambassador shared that his reality pals did little to help him tackle the tongue-twisting ingredients list rap battle.
Discussing the challenge, he shared: ‘It was good fun, had a good day and celebrated the 50th birthday of Big Mac. But no, they didn’t help me at all. I got to the job last and I was running a couple of minutes late.
‘Proudlock had been there since the morning and had a proper rehearsal, he knew all the ingredients, he knew the tongue-twister for this rap battle to an absolute tee.
‘So I just flowed with it, I kept forgetting the ingredients so was trying to put them in the order that was the quickest. I failed a bit to be fair.’
