Married At First Sight’s Chris Jensen’s marriage with Jaimie Gardner came to an explosive end during Monday night’s episode.

Despite choosing to stay during Sunday’s commitment ceremony, Chris, 32, packed his bags and left the experiment following an explosive argument with his ‘bride’ Jaimie.

Moments after moving into an apartment together, the Sunshine Coast FIFO driller went head-to-head with his bride following an argument off camera.

Chris explained that he didn’t feel like Jaimie was making any effort with him and that he felt a sense of inadequacy around his new wife.

It all unfolded after a producer off camera asked the couple to explain the obvious tension in the room.

Chris was then heard asking his bride, ‘Did you, or did you not say to me that you wanted me to pretend for another week and stop being so nice to you because it was making you look like a b**ch?’

After Jaimie refused to answer on camera, Chris accused her of lying and faking their relationship for cameras.

‘I won’t be staying in this room with you I will not be having anything to do with you because you are not the person that you perceive to be,’ he then snapped.

Chris told his bride, ‘If you’re going to put an act on for cameras, that’s fine. I don’t need to be treated like this. I’m so done with this.’

Chris then explained to producers he’s had enough of being put down by his wife, and no longer wanted to be apart of the experiment before he stormed out of the couple’s apartment.

‘I’m not going to pretend we’re all good for another week, just because you wanted me to, I’m not good enough for you. The lie is done,’ he said.

Following his dramatic exit, Chris explained that since their wedding day, he felt like he was being ‘used’ and wasn’t going to deal with it any longer.

‘I know she doesn’t like me. I know I’m not the guy that’s around on yachts,’ he said.

‘I’m not hurt. I mean, maybe I’m just not good enough for her. I don’t know. But I’m being used. I just, I can’t just play this game. That we’re all good. It’s just not right.’
